DV Type Diverter Valve
Designed to divert solids in powder or granular material, the DV type diverter valve is used in dilute or dense phase pneumatic conveying systems. Also known as DV switch valve, this diverter valve helps form two branches in a single pneumatic conveying system. It can handle various types of abrasive powders at high pressures. These diverter valves can be mounted in vertical, horizontal, or intermediate positions.
The DV type diverter valve is a robust valve used for conveying abrasive materials with the phenomena of pressure differential. It can also easily close through the column of the material to achieve a pressure-tight seal. What’s more, DV type diverter valves are durable, long-lasting, and requires minimal maintenance. This makes it an excellent choice for heavy-duty conveying of abrasive hot materials.
At Macawber India, we offer the Y-type diverter valve. However, pneumatic conveying diverter valves (dome valve type) are also available in different types depending on application requirements.
- The Y-type diverter valve is a standard diverter valve with one inlet and two outlets. Here, the process flow enters from the top, while the outlet flow is parallel to the valve body.
- Similar to the Y-type diverter valve, the only difference in the R-type diverter valve is the placement of its outlet, which is at the right angle to the inlet flow.
- S-type and T-type diverter valves are also available.
All of the above valves are very similar apart from the outlet ports. In all these designs, the angular relationship of the outlet ports may vary depending on the installation requirements. There is an availability of special designs in case of large size valves or high flow rates.
DV Type Diverter Valve: Key Features
- The Y-type diverter valve is used in pneumatic conveying lines, wherein wear and tear is extreme. It is primarily used for heavy-duty, high capacity, and abrasive applications.
- Its general utility is in dense and medium phase pneumatic conveying systems.
- The Y-type DV diverter offered by us uses the Macawber dome valve to divert paths as the material shut-off valve.
- Standard DV type diverter models are designed for temperatures up to 400 deg. C and pressure up to 7 barg.

- The connecting Y-piece can be custom designed for extreme hardness with DRC lining, cast basalt lining, ceramic lining, SAIL hard steel, Mn Steel etc.
